In this Pisces season, I am feeling the need for water and emotional healing.

Pisces energy brings us deeper connection to our subconscious and what’s not shown on the surface. It is also a sign of love, dedication and merging into the divine.

Water is a wonderful tool to cleanse our energy, purifying the aura and balancing our nervous system.

In Kundalini yoga, Hydrotherapy, AKA “cold shower” is highly recommended to practice in the morning. It says that a cold shower improves blood circulation, gives you clear skin, and balances the glandular system naturally.

The natural water is so rich in prana and has tremendous healing power. It is invigorating to the body, mind and spirit.

Our body consists of up to 60% of water. When we are in natural water, the water in our body can adjust its frequency to its natural state, while  exchanging the chemicals and ions with the natural water.

I am very fond of natural water therapy, especially bathing in the river and the ocean.

How to Practice Hydrotherapy:

  • Wear loose fitting shorts to cover your thighs to protect the reproductive system and the femur from the temperature change.

  • Massage your body with oil. Almond oil contains healthy minerals and is recommended in kundalini yoga. Jojoba, grapeseed, coconut, or avocado oils are alternatives and you can choose the oil based on your body type and the season.

  • Run the cold water. Step into the shower from the extremities. Rub the skin vigorously. Try to stay until your body gets used to the water temperature. Breast massage is highly recommended for women.

  • Dry off the body.

  • Not recommended for  women during menstruation or pregnant.

Water and Emotions

Water is not always gentle and soothing, and sometimes it can become so overwhelming and destructive like a tsunami. This can be said for our emotions. Our emotions need our attention and loving care, and they can create huge waves when they are kept ignored for a long time.

To heal your emotions, the first step is to allow yourself to feel the emotions.

It is okay to feel sad and depressed, and it is okay to feel angry. Then, you can start observing your emotions, allowing your emotions to unwind and deliver the messages that something was wrong, unacceptable, hurtful or not aligned to your truth etc.

When you give your emotions an opportunity to complete their role, you will feel less emotional and much lighter at heart. You will regain the energy and get clarity in mind.

May we always have reverence for our water.

May you have time  to heal your emotions, subconscious for deep transformation in this Pisces season.

Much love,

Kiyoka
